Juggling LeJoG...: Loch Awe

Welcome to the 'Juggling LeJoG...' Blog

In May 2011 we hope to set off cyling Land's End to John O'Groats. Many people have cycled this epic route in various ways - mostly on single bikes. As we love our tandem- this is what we shall use. LeJoG is considered to be THE run in the UK, although we have and always will have a great love for the NorthSea Cycle Route. But now our attention is on our preparation for LeJoG. Our aim is to enjoy the run and we are not concerned how many days it will take us. We leave that to those who wish to beat records. We shall have a back-up system in the form of our Motorhome. This means that we always have to take a train back, as we steadily continue travelling up north. It took quite a bit of juggling (hence the title of the blog) to make that work with campsites, decent roads, at the same time not being too far away from a railway line. It won't work all the time, which means a B&B for the night and travel back by train/bus/taxi later on. We are very excited about our trip and immensely looking forward to May.
